Tin Roost Restaurant and Patio is preparing for our busy patio season and is hiring Food Runners to join our team.
As a Food Runner, you play an important role in creating a great guest experience by helping ensure food is delivered accurately, promptly, and with care. You’ll collaborate closely with both kitchen and service teams in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to help maintain smooth and efficient operations.
About Tin Roost
Located in North Liberty, IA, Tin Roost is a locally owned, independent restaurant featuring a large outdoor patio, 400+ seats, and two private event spaces. Our scratch kitchen serves American-inspired dishes made from quality ingredients. We also offer 36 beers on tap and a selection of over 80 whiskeys at the bar.

Compensation for fully trained Support Staff starts at $8.10/hour plus tips, with tip payouts distributed nightly.
Schedule: Full or part-time. Shifts are 4–8 hours depending on your availability. Open availability preferred, including weekends.

Responsibilities
- Deliver food items quickly and accurately while maintaining presentation standards
- Communicate with kitchen and service staff to ensure correct orders and timely delivery
- Assist with table maintenance, including resetting tables efficiently
- Support overall restaurant flow by assisting wherever needed
- Help maintain cleanliness standards, including guest areas and restrooms when necessary
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Support host responsibilities such as greeting guests, seating, and providing menus when needed
- Help manage waitlists and communicate wait times clearly and accurately
- Assist in organizing seating to maximize efficiency and guest flow
- Answer phone calls, assist with reservations, and help manage to-go orders when needed
- Participate in opening and closing duties as assigned
- Perform additional duties as directed by management
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable standing for long periods and performing physical tasks
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a plus
