Tin Roost in North Liberty is hiring Cooks to join our kitchen team.

Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant known for its scratch kitchen, extensive whiskey selection, rotating craft beer offerings, and welcoming atmosphere. With over 400 seats, private event spaces, and a large outdoor patio, our kitchen team plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for every Guest who walks through our doors.
Compensation for fully trained Cooks starts at $15-$22 per hour based on experience
Schedule
- Part-time position
- Approximately 20-30 hours per week
- Evening and weekend availability required

What You'll Do
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, and menu components according to recipes and kitchen standards
- Set up and stock workstations before service
- Cook menu items using a variety of cooking methods including grilling, sautéing, frying, and roasting
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout the shift
- Assist with inventory organization, food rotation, and storage documentation
- Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and fellow team members during service
- Support additional kitchen duties and projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to stand and move throughout the duration of a shift
- Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
